Nonostante il conflitto in corso tra Hamas e Israele, le Nazioni Unite continuano a garantire aiuti umanitari alla popolazione civile palestinese. Dal 19 al 31 agosto l’Onu, assieme alle organizzazioni umanitarie, ha distribuito ogni giorno alle famiglie palestinesi in tutta Gaza 450 mila pasti caldi preparati in 130 cucine. “Ma occorre ribadire – ha spiegato il portavoce Stephane Dujarric – che la situazione umanitaria resta più che catastrofica e noi non abbiamo ancora tutte le condizioni necessarie per sostenere le persone a un livello minimo accettabile”.
