Secondo quanto riferito dalle autorità della città di Mahambo, Serge Gelle, il ministro per la polizia e un altro agente sono entrambi riusciti a raggiungere la terra, separatamente, dopo essersi lanciati dall’elicottero. Il 57enne è apparso in un video sui social esausto, ancora con la divisa addosso. “Il mio momento di morire non è ancora arrivato”, ha affermato. Gelle ha usato un sedile dell’elicottero come zattera.

Serge Gellé, the country’s secretary of state for police, and a fellow policeman reached land in the seaside town of Mahambo separately on Tuesday morning, apparently after ejecting themselves from the aircraft.
